MOMOSAN is a series of polyurethane foam dressings with open cell structure, suitable for different type of wounds.
Its alveolar structure allows the growth of the granulation tissue and the absorption of exudate in a vertical way, guaranteeing at the same time an extremely effective debridement action.
Its effectiveness is comparable to more complex dressing systems, such as negative pressure therapy or surgical action, however it is a cheaper material and its application isn’t dependent on the operator.
MOMOSAN is suitable for all types wounds, including fistulas and undermining wounds, pressure injuries, vascular ulcers, diabetic ulcers, burns, grazes and surgical wounds.
Different types and sizes available allow the operator to find the best answer for all types of wounds and facilitate the application of the dressing even in difficult locations.
What is th difference between MOMOSAN WHITE and MOMOSAN BLACK?
White MOMOSAN has a honeycomb structure of mixed pores with medium-sized, highly-absorbent, open and closed cells. It is ideal for treating pressure sores, secreting ulcers, secreting fistulas, burns and excoriations.
It is recommended for primary action, since interaction with other medications may reduce its absorbing capacity.
Black MOMOSAN has a honeycomb structure with open pores and bigger cells and with a strong debridement capacity – alone or associated with other medications, making it ideal for treating the autolytic debridement of pressure sores, secreting ulcers and fistulas.
Due to its filtering capacity, it is recommended for secondary action.
